I wrote a post this weekend on the multiple competing definitions of what the "DC Tech Community" is. It’s the most substantial bit of blogging to appear on Ross Notes in quite a while. It’s even got a nice picture.
It’s Sunshine Week—
Sunshine Week is a national initiative to open a dialogue about the importance of open government and freedom of information. Participants include print, broadcast and online news media, civic groups, libraries, non-profits, schools and others interested in the public’s right to know.
Yeah, the A-List is at SXSW, but there’s some cool stuff happening for the people still in DC.
Of course, if you’re reading this from Austin, you’ve got FOUR chances to check out Kid Beyond’s crazy beat-boxing + live looping act, which I’ve only seen on the youtubes. Go.
